So going through some of my google alerts I came across a page that’s for MercuryNews.com and what it appears to be is some kind of “ask abby” column. The first paragraph is a recent graduate trying to find a job but only getting offers for an unpaid internship and is not sure about what he should do. The answer from Mr. Walberg might be a bit surprising! I also came across a posting that is located on Forbes.com. Here they discuss not only some ways that can help people obtain an internship but also how they can increase the chances of snagging a job. If a student is thinking of going for an internship over the summer but isn’t sure if the experience will be of any use, reading through an article on The Flat Hat’s website may give some encouragement to go for it! In an opinion column for The Badger Herald, an intern by the name of Sarah Witman discusses how internships could be thought of as “extensions of education”. Jessica Keating who wrote a piece for The Guardian talks about how she worked really hard at her internships and ended up bagging a full-time job!
